THE FOUR INNS WALK:

A challenging competitive walk organised by the Derbyshire Scout Association. The walk is for teams of 3 or 4 over a distance of approximately 72 km over some of the roughest moorland terrain in England – the Peak District. Times for completion of the walk can vary from under 8 hours to over 20!

 

The 2006 walk, which is the 48th event, is open to all walkers who feel up to the challenge. Now is the time to take up that challenge.

 

THE ROUTE:

Holmbridge (near Holmfirth), Black Hill, Bleaklow, Snake Pass, Kinder, Edale, Chapel, Cat & Fiddle, Buxton.

President’s Trophy             Fastest non-Scout team

Four Inns Cup*                  Fastest Scout team

Eric Thompson Memorial    Fastest Mixed team (open)

George Keeling Memorial    Fastest Novice team (open)

The Innsman                     Fastest team whose combined age exceeds 160

Years (for a team of 4) or 120 years for a team of 3 (open)

The Freda Thompson*        Fastest Scout team – members under 25

The Derbyshire Plate*        Fastest Scout team from outside Derbyshire

The Falcon Trophy             Fastest all female team (open)

 

        *Membership of the Scout Association is a prerequisite for these trophies.
