Winter Skills w/e Feb 2009 Report

We held our first winter skills w/e at the Adventurers Escape hostel near Aberfeldy on 6-8 Feb 2009. There were six attendees and three instructors.

The first day we encountered very high winds, spindrift and cloud, this resulted in a high wind chill.

However we did manage to cover all the basics before retreating to the warmth of the hostel.

The following day (Sunday) turned out to be one of those rare Scottish winter days, sunny clear and no wind.

We consolidated the skills learnt the pervious day and all topped out on Meall Nan Tarmachan 1044m.
