I have been a keen mountaineer since my youth and have held authorisation by the scout assossiation to take scouts climbing and hill walking for many years. Some time ago the scout assossiation changed their rules. As a result of this I decided to get some formal qulifications (mainley to prove to myself I was as compitant as I thought I was).

Over the last few years I have gained my mountain leaders award (ML), gaining my winter ML in 2007, I also hold a single pitch climbing award (SPA). I am a member of the BMC, MLTA and the Eagle ski club.
